Regional Commissioning Manager - Dublin

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Regional Commissioning Manager on behalf of Europe's leading Data Centre Contractor, to join their senior commissioning team based from the company's Dublin Head Office.

This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to oversee commissioning strategy and delivery across a portfolio of major hyperscale data centre projects throughout Europe.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, technical oversight and governance to Commissioning Managers and Commissioning Engineers across multiple projects, ensuring commissioning activities are delivered consistently, safely and in line with project programmes and client requirements.

While the position will be based from the Dublin Head Office, regular travel to European project locations will be required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, support and technical oversight to Commissioning Managers and Commissioning Engineers across multiple European data centre projects.
  • Develop and implement regional commissioning strategies, standards, procedures and best practices.
  • Oversee commissioning programmes, key milestones and critical-path activities across the regional project portfolio.
  • Ensure commissioning programmes remain aligned with construction schedules, project milestones and overall business objectives.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for commissioning-related risks, technical challenges and stakeholder issues.
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and internal project teams.
  • Oversee commissioning activities across both CFCI and OFCI packages, ensuring successful integration, testing, validation and handover.
  • Provide leadership across commissioning design reviews, FATs, FWTs, integrated systems testing (IST) and final commissioning activities.
  • Ensure commissioning documentation, test scripts, compliance records, sign-offs and handover packages are completed to the required standards.
  • Monitor commissioning performance through KPI reporting, programme reviews and risk management.
  • Work closely with Project Directors and Construction, Engineering, QA/QC and Operations teams to drive successful project delivery and operational readiness.
  • Identify commissioning risks at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, commissioning procedures, EHS standards and client specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement and consistency across commissioning teams throughout the European project portfolio.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, technical excellence and accountability.
Experience & Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience within commissioning, with significant experience in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical construction, pharmaceutical or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Data centre commissioning experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical and integrated systems commissioning.
  • Proven experience managing Commissioning Managers, Engineers and wider commissioning teams.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects or large-scale commissioning programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of CFCI and OFCI equipment and packages.
  • Experience across FATs, FWTs, IST, system validation and final handover.
  • Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures, QA/QC processes, project controls and programme management.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of EHS requirements associated with electrical and mechanical commissioning.
  • Ability to travel to European project locations as required.
The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Lead or senior commissioning professional looking to progress into a regional leadership position with one of the leading organisations in the European data centre construction market.

Unlike a traditional project-based commissioning position, this role will be based from the company's Dublin Head Office, providing oversight across multiple European projects rather than being permanently assigned to one site.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping commissioning strategy, standards and delivery across a major European project portfolio.

What's on Offer
  • Permanent senior leadership position
  • Dublin Head Office base
  • Excellent senior-level salary package
  • Exposure to major hyperscale data centre projects across Europe
  • Long-term career progression
  • Opportunity to influence commissioning strategy across multiple projects
  • Join a market leader operating in one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors
