Are you passionate about food innovation and looking for a role where you can bring new product ideas from concept through to production?

We are working with a growing food manufacturer who is looking for an experienced R&D Technician to join their development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating and improving a diverse range of products.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and improving a variety of frozen food products
• Creating prototypes and samples for customers and internal reviews
• Optimising recipes to achieve the right balance of taste, texture, quality, cost, and production efficiency
• Planning and carrying out factory trials, recording outcomes and recommending improvements
• Helping to transfer products from development kitchen to full scale production
• Working closely with QA and Technical teams to maintain product quality and food safety standards
• Preparing technical documentation including specifications, recipes, manufacturing instructions, and trial reports

About you:

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related subject
• Previous experience within food manufacturing R&D environment
• Experience supporting factory trials and product scale up
• Knowledge of food processing and product development principles
• Experience working with frozen food products would be an advantage
• Understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety requirements, legislation and product specifications
