Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a global manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry-leading organisation known for innovation, quality excellence, and its commitment to safety-critical products used worldwide.

This role sits within a well-established Quality Assurance function and offers the chance to work in a collaborative, international environment, supporting both internal operations and a diverse global customer base. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring product and process quality across the business. You will lead investigations, drive improvements, and act as a primary point of contact for customer quality concerns.

You will work closely with internal departments, global sites, suppliers, and customers to deliver high standards of performance and continuous improvement.

Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns
  • Manage customer portals and monitor quality performance metrics
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Drive internal process improvements with production and engineering teams
  • Manage incoming inspection processes and personnel
  • Issue and review supplier 8D reports, working closely with purchasing
  • Conduct internal audits (QMS & EMS) and manage audit schedules
  • Support customer visits and audits
  • Manage PPAP submissions and approvals
  • Maintain environmental compliance and support EMS activities
  • Provide regular KPI reporting to the Quality Manager

We are looking for a proactive and driven Quality professional with a strong background in manufacturing or automotive environments.

  • Experience within quality in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001
  • Experience working with automotive or OEM customers
  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office tools
