Job Description

Join our dedicated Social Care Direct Team in Wakefield as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact in the community. We are looking for an empathetic and skilled professional to support individuals and families in navigating complex social care needs. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable populations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify their needs and strengths.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to service users, ensuring they understand their rights and available resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote integrated service delivery.
  • Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Proven experience in a social work setting, preferably within a direct practice environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
