We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Pupil Support Officer to join our well established school team. The role involves supporting children with a range of communication, social and emotional regulation needs within our infant stages. You will collaborate with school staff, support families and work with partner agencies to create safe, inclusive and nurturing educational experiences that enable children to access and progress in their learning. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with a range of additional support needs.

The post requires experience working directly with families to provide feedback on learning and support for children's wellbeing. Flexibility and adaptability to work within a busy school as part of a team, and independently as directed by the school's leadership team are essential.

The working hours will be: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 3.15pm, Friday 8.30am - 12.15pm.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory completion of both pre employment checks.

We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued and able to be their best. We particularly encourage applications from women for senior roles, as well as people from minority ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities or neurodivergent people, care experienced people, carers and LGBT+ people across all levels of the organisation. All applicants will be considered fairly based on skills and experience. Disabled and care experienced applicants who meet the minimum job criteria will be guaranteed an interview.

In your interview, you will be assessed on how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.
