Programming Assistant

Being a Programme Assistant for the National Trust is all about people. Connecting with them, inspiring them, and making sure they have the best possible day when they come to visit.
You will assist in the delivery and development of a programme of activities and events across the portfolio. The programme will celebrate each property's unique characteristics and Spirit of Place to create meaningful connections with our visitors each time they visit. You will ensure the property provides an enjoyable visitor experience, consistently exceeding visitors' expectations. You may also be involved in outreach engagement activities and events.
This is a permanent part time position offering 22.5hrs a week.
For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work hereReporting to the Visitor Experience Manager, you'll be part of a friendly, dynamic team based at Speke Hall, as well as assisting colleagues at The Beatles' Childhood Homes, The Hardmans' House and Formby.

Our sites are busy and varied. Our friendly, outgoing teams are passionate about the work we do to conserve these special places and to share the stories with a wide range of visitors. We're looking for someone to work with us who is enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, enjoy variety and a full team player.
Whichever property you are based at and whatever role you play on site, standards of excellence in customer service and visitor engagement are essential. Some of our busiest days are at weekends and on school holidays, so all staff are expected to take part in a regular weekend and holiday working.
What you'll be doingWorking with the team you'll help with the creation and delivery of events and activities that bring the Liverpool City Group to life for our visitors all year round.
Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You'll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You'll help deliver high standards of presentation to ensure that our day-to-day visitor experience is in tip-top condition to ensure visitors have the best visit possible.
You will work alongside and support volunteers and delivery partners to bring our experiences to life to grow audiences and broaden appeal. You'll likely to be checking standards of presentation on site and support the evaluation of visitor programming to continuously improve service and experiences across the portfolio.
