About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious candidate to join our team at Hartlepool Sixth Form as a part-time teacher and programme lead in our Health and Social care team. The successful candidate will work in a thriving department, delivering a curriculum spanning Level 2 and 3 Health, Education, and Care courses.

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic specialists with excellent pedagogical skills and industry knowledge or experience. We welcome nursing/health practitioners with industry experience who would be supported by us to move into teaching.

About You

We seek a dedicated and passionate educator committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences. In this role, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging teaching and learning activities, ensuring students meet their academic goals and thrive toward their future careers.

You will focus on creating an excellent student experience, fostering a supportive learning environment, and ensuring positive student outcomes and successful destinations after their studies.

  • Candidates need an appropriate degree; a teaching qualification is desirable, but we will consider candidates without teaching qualifications who are willing to work toward obtaining one.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working within the health sector.
  • Candidates should be proactive with a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring all students receive the best possible support and guidance throughout their learning journey.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BTEC and T-level specifications and requirements.
  • A knowledge of employer contracts for industry placement opportunities would be advantageous.
