Job Description

A leading global medical device manufacturer based in Westmeath is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations and drive performance across a busy production environment. This role focuses on leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You must be open to working day and night shift.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a production area, providing leadership, direction, and development to a large team
  • Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all activities align with environmental, health and safety standards
  • Deliver on daily and monthly production targets while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, output, and equipment utilisation through continuous improvement techniques
  • Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and reduce disruption to production
  • Use performance data and key metrics to monitor trends and implement improvements
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities meet regulatory and compliance standards within a highly controlled environment
  • Oversee workforce planning, attendance tracking, and performance management processes
  • Support training initiatives to build team capability and maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Contribute to planning and scheduling activities to ensure production plans are achieved
  • Promote collaboration across departments to enhance overall operational performance
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within medical devices or another regulated industry
  • Proven experience leading or supervising teams in a production setting
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies and operational best practices
  • Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Well-developed problem solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced setting
