Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of private client tax relationships, delivering bespoke advisory and planning services.


• Provide technical advice across Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Trusts and Estates, Income Tax, and international tax matters.


• Support partners on complex client assignments and lead relationships to provide custom, one-off tax solutions.


• Drive business development by identifying advisory opportunities within the existing client base and building an external regional profile.


• Oversee WIP, billing, compliance trackers, and operational efficiency across the team.


• Lead, mentor, and develop personal tax team members through technical coaching, file reviews, and regular feedback.


• Collaborate on wider firm initiatives, including best practice updates and technology adoption projects.

As a Private Client Tax Manager you will:

• Utilize your CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualification to deliver technically robust, high-value tax advice.


• Act as a key point of contact for complex HMRC investigations and high-net-worth client enquiries.


• Manage workflow efficiency to maximize team productivity and chargeable output while maintaining strict quality standards.


• Lead new client onboarding and ensure technical computations strictly align with firmwide service standards.


• Actively engage in regional networking events to enhance personal and practice market presence.
