Planning Associate / Senior Associate/ Managing Associate - Leeds city centre

A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Planning Senior Associate or Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Planning & Environment team in Leeds.

The Team

The Planning & Environment practice is a large, multi-disciplinary group made up of planning and environmental lawyers, advocates and planning consultants, advising across all development sectors. The team is well known for its commercial, pragmatic approach and for supporting clients throughout the full planning lifecycle, from initial strategy through to delivery. Consistently recognised for its growth and market presence, the team offers high-quality work within a genuinely supportive and flexible working environment.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the team is seeking an experienced planning lawyer (3 years' PQE+) to support its national practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of high-profile and complex matters across multiple sectors.

Key Experience

The successful candidate is likely to have experience advising on:

• Section 106 agreements
• Highways and other statutory agreements
• Planning and highways law more generally
• Due diligence for property and corporate transactions
• Contentious planning matters, including inquiries, hearings and court challenges / judicial reviews
• Experience acting on large-scale regeneration schemes would be particularly advantageous.

This role would suit a motivated and collaborative planning lawyer looking to progress within a growing and ambitious national team.
