Healthcare Assistant

Great Bentley Surgery is looking to recruit a part-time healthcare assistant to join our friendly team, working approximately 26 hours per week.

This post will require the following shifts to be covered:

• taking ECGs
• diabetic checks
• blood taking

Great Bentley Surgery situated in Colchester, has a practice size of 11,200 patients, 5 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs and a full nursing team.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake, as indicated by the CQC;
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent;

Experience

• Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential, as well as the flexibility to help with cover for annual leave and sickness.
• Previous experience of working in primary care and knowledge of EMIS web would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
