People Event Manager - Gloucester, Gloucestershire

Location: Gloucester HQ
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Permanent

Job Description

Freemans Event Partners has been rocking the event world for over 50 years. From Silverstone to Wembley, Twickenham to Victorious Festival - if there's a crowd to feed, refresh or wow, chances are we're there.

Now we're looking for a People Event Manager. Translation? The person who makes sure we've got the right people, in the right place, at the right time - so our events don't just run, they fly. You'll be part recruiter, part organiser, part firefighter (not literally, but sometimes it feels that way), and full-time legend.

Yes, there will be weekends. Yes, there will be travel. And yes, you'll get TOIL for it (because we're nice like that).

Job requirements

  • Previous experience in event planning or recruitment - this is non-negotiable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills (translation: you can herd cats and still smile).
  • Cool under pressure - because things change fast in events.
  • Positive, proactive, "can do" attitude (grumbling optional, but not recommended).
  • Prepared to travel and work weekends - it's events, not a 9-5.

Job responsibilities

  • Spot on forecasting of staffing for some of the UK's most prestigious events - from festivals to stadiums.
  • Running recruitment campaigns like a pro - adverts, interviews, talent pools, the works.
  • Building and nurturing core teams who can deliver every time (think Avengers Assemble, but with radios and hi-vis).
  • Keeping staff happy, engaged, and compliant (you know, those pesky working regs).
  • Showing up at events, making sure the right number of people are in the right place - and stepping in if they're not.
  • Coaching and supporting Staffing Assistants (basically being the boss they'll thank later).
  • Keeping an eye on staffing costs to make sure we're not just brilliant, but profitable too.

Job benefits

  • £28,000 - £33,000 depending on your experience.
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (yes, actual time off).
  • Pension, life cover and employee assistance programme (because adulting matters).
  • Healthcare cash plan - dentist, optician, GP, discounts, the lot.
  • Fortnightly lunches and regular socials (we eat together, we win together).
  • A chance to work at some of the UK's biggest and best events - and actually get paid for it.
