Part Time Payroll & Reward Administrator



  • Permanent

  • Salary: £28,000 for a 4-day week (£35,000 FTE)

  • Hours: Part-time - 28 hours per week (4 days)

Oakleaf Partnership are working with a leading professional services organisation to recruit a Payroll & Reward Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a collaborative People team, supporting payroll, benefits and reward administration across a large UK workforce.


Working closely with the Reward Manager and key stakeholders across the business, you'll play a vital role in ensuring payroll and benefits processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time, while providing a high-quality service to employees.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll reporting for UK and Irish employees, ensuring all payroll changes are captured accurately and submitted within agreed deadlines.

  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider, reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare payroll reports for senior management review and approval.

  • Administer employee benefits, liaising with external providers to ensure accurate enrolments, changes and invoicing.

  • Respond to payroll and benefits queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.

  • Process joiners, leavers and employee lifecycle changes, including family leave and other statutory absences.

  • Produce monthly overtime reports and support wellbeing reporting through payroll data analysis.

  • Work closely with Finance on payroll reconciliations and supplier queries.

  • Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data integrity standards.

  • Administer flexible benefits, private medical insurance and pension schemes, ensuring all changes are processed accurately.

  • Support annual reward and benefits activities, including benefit renewals and payroll reporting.

  • Continuously review payroll and reward processes to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous payroll and benefits administration experience, ideally within a professional services or fast-paced corporate environment.

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll processes and employee benefits administration.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall IT literacy.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information.

  • Highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise competing deadlines.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across People and Finance teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to build positive relationships across the business.

  • Flexible approach and willingness to support payroll deadlines and wider team initiatives.

  • Committed to continuous learning and keeping up to date with payroll legislation and best practice.
