Part 1 Architectural Assistant

9B Careers is recruiting on behalf of a well-established architectural practice based near Ware, Hertfordshire. Our client is a small, collaborative studio (approx. 10 people) specialising in residential and mixed use projects, and they are looking for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

This is an office based position (5 days per week) ideal for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant keen to gain hands on experience across a range of projects, from concept design through to detail stages. You will work directly with senior architects on bespoke residential homes, housing developments, and mixed use schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and technical information using AutoCAD
• Assist in the development of design concepts and presentations
• Coordinate drawing sets and maintain project documentation
• Support project team with research, planning submissions, and detailing
• Attend internal design team meetings

About You

• Recently completed Part 1 Architectural qualification
• Competent in AutoCAD (essential)
• Passionate about design, architecture, and quality detailing
• Strong communicator with a proactive approach
• Based locally or willing to commute daily to the studio near Ware
