9B Careers is recruiting on behalf of a well-established architectural practice based near Ware, Hertfordshire. Our client is a small, collaborative studio (approx. 10 people) specialising in residential and mixed use projects, and they are looking for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join their team.
About the RoleThis is an office based position (5 days per week) ideal for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant keen to gain hands on experience across a range of projects, from concept design through to detail stages. You will work directly with senior architects on bespoke residential homes, housing developments, and mixed use schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare drawings and technical information using AutoCAD
- Assist in the development of design concepts and presentations
- Coordinate drawing sets and maintain project documentation
- Support project team with research, planning submissions, and detailing
- Attend internal design team meetings
- Recently completed Part 1 Architectural qualification
- Competent in AutoCAD (essential)
- Passionate about design, architecture, and quality detailing
- Strong communicator with a proactive approach
- Based locally or willing to commute daily to the studio near Ware
- Friendly, informal studio environment with regular team interaction
- Mentoring and support to develop your architectural skills
- Exposure to a wide variety of architectural projects
- Full-time, office-based role (5 days per week)
