Job Description

Stanchester Academy are recruiting a Parent and Family Support Advisor on a part-time,term time only basis.

20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus INSET days)

Salary: Band 6, Points 6-10 (Actual starting salary: £12,998.19 per annum)

About the Role

As a key member of our pastoral and safeguarding teams, you'll provide direct support, advice, and guidance to students and families. You'll play a vital role in improving attendance, tackling disengagement, and building positive relationships between home and school. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing early intervention and preventative support to students and families
  • Acting as a liaison between families, external agencies, and the school
  • Assisting in addressing barriers to engagement and education
  • Supporting and delivering parenting and family-related training
  • Conducting Early Help Assessments and act as Lead Professional where appropriate

What we re looking for

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working with children, young people, or families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work proactively with external agencies
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
