What You Will Do
  • Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across council properties.
  • Prepare surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Apply a variety of finishes such as emulsion, gloss, varnish, and specialist coatings to a high standard.
  • Undertake minor repairs to surfaces including plasterwork, woodwork, and fixtures to maintain pristine conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and materials.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
  • Evidence of relevant training or experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong practical skills in painting and decorating with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence is often required.
