Operations Manager (Civil)

Vickerstock are continuing our partnership with a leading civil engineering contractor in recruiting an Operations Manager.

Role: Civil Engineering Operations Manager

Location: Kilkenny with occasional travel to sites

Sector: Water & Wastewater

Your new role as Operations Manager (Civil)

• Manage operations across a portfolio of Water and Wastewater projects
• Management of project planning & resource allocation
• Oversee logistics for projects
• Management of site teams, subcontractors and liaison with external teams such as Design teams & local authorities
• Monitor & manage costs across projects & operations
• Regular financial and operational reporting to Senior Management
• Work closely with clients, stakeholders and senior management
• Hold pre construction meetings
• People management including recruitment, performance reviews and staff training
• Identify opportunities for process improvements

What you'll need to be successful

• Strong previous Operations or Project Management background within Civil Engineering - ideally the Water sector
• Experience of Irish or UK standards within the water industry
• Technical qualifications within Civil Engineering and Construction
