Location: London or Bristol Hybrid Working

Rate c£600 per day inside IR35

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Consultant to support the development and execution of our operational resilience program, with a strong focus on defining and implementing resilience testing scenarios. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in identifying important business services, mapping dependencies, and designing effective scenario-based tests to assess the firm's ability to remain within impact tolerances during severe disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of operational resilience testing scenarios aligned to critical business services and impact tolerances.
• Collaborate with business units, IT, risk, and compliance teams to identify severe but plausible scenarios that challenge the organisation's ability to deliver important business services.
• Define end-to-end testing frameworks and criteria to evaluate organisational resilience capabilities.
• Facilitate and lead scenario testing workshops with key stakeholders, ensuring meaningful engagement and clear outcomes.
• Analyse results of resilience testing activities and produce actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the operational resilience framework in line with regulatory expectations (eg, FCA/PRA, DORA, etc.).
• Maintain and update scenario libraries to reflect evolving threats, dependencies, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to risk assessments and resilience maturity assessments as required.
• Assist in regulatory submissions and prepare materials for internal governance reporting.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members and support wider business continuity and crisis management initiatives.

Key Requirements:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in an operational resilience, business continuity, or risk consulting role, with a focus on scenario development and resilience testing.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance relating to operational resilience (eg, UK FCA/PRA frameworks, DORA, ISO 22301).
• Experience leading or facilitating scenario testing across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Deep understanding of critical business services, impact tolerances, and dependency mapping.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to synthesise technical and business information to inform scenario design and testing outputs.
• Extensive experience working within the financial services is essential.
