Overview

In this role, you will provide high quality assistance to the kitchen team in preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0 5, assist with in room lunch service and food based activities, create a safe and nurturing environment, and support children's individual needs, while maintaining a clean kitchen and following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
• Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)

Duties

• Provide high quality assistance to the kitchen team in preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0 5.
• Assist with in room lunch service and food based activities, ensuring they are stimulating and engaging.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs.
• Assist with ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised, and well maintained at all times.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well being of all children and staff.
