Job Description

We are seeking an Asset Inventory & CMDB Analyst to support a global cybersecurity programme focused on network asset identification, data inventory, and CMDB accuracy. This role will work closely with cybersecurity, IT, and site stakeholders to transform large volumes of raw device and network data into a structured, validated asset inventory within ServiceNow CMDB. This position has emerged due to the rapid expansion of cybersecurity initiatives, including network segmentation and monitoring, which have created a growing demand for manual data review, validation, and stakeholder coordination across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse large datasets of network and device information extracted from cybersecurity tooling such as Armis and Excel exports.
• Identify and classify assets, including purpose, ownership, and site relevance.
• Engage with site-based IT and operational teams to validate asset data and resolve gaps.
• Build and maintain structured asset inventories using Excel and related tools.
• Upload validated asset records into ServiceNow CMDB in collaboration with platform teams.
• Track progress across multiple sites and support delivery against agreed milestones.
• Highlight data quality issues and identify opportunities to streamline or improve inventory processes.

Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, MAC addresses, and device types/behaviour.
• Strong Excel and data-handling skills.
• Comfortable working with large, unstructured datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to explain technical or data-related findings clearly and patiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical working approach.
• Comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and locations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar asset management systems.
• Familiarity with Armis or other asset discovery/monitoring tools.
• Asset or inventory management Experience.
• Process improvement or automation mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, VBA).
• Basic project coordination Experience.
