Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Monday - Friday / Earlies, Lates + Nights Location: Tamworth Salary: £45,000

Are you a hands-on, technically skilled engineer with experience in automated industrial environments? We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a dynamic team, ensuring the smooth operation of a state-of-the-art automated facility.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining high-tech automated systems, including conveyors, sorters, and PLC-controlled equipment. You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated material handling systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and support a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
• Relevant engineering or technical qualifications (e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ, HNC).
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in automated environments.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication and team-working abilities.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

Desirable

• Experience with automated sortation or material handling systems.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations (17th/18th edition).
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
