Gear Cutter

Location: Aldershot, GU12
Salary: £17-£19 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:30-15:15, Friday 06:00-13:00

We are looking for a skilled and precise Gear Cutter to join a busy precision manufacturing environment in Aldershot. You will be responsible for producing high-quality gears using CNC and gear-cutting machinery. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands on machining and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

As a Gear Cutter, you will set up and operate machines to manufacture precision gears. You will work from engineering drawings, ensuring every component meets strict tolerances and quality standards.

• Set up and operate gear cutting machinery, including Mazak CNC machines
• Manufacture gears to precise specifications from engineering drawings
• Conduct inspections using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring tools
• Troubleshoot machine or process issues to maintain production flow
• Maintain clean and safe working areas in accordance with health and safety standards
• Support colleagues to ensure smooth production processes

• 3-5 years of experience in gear cutting or CNC machining
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented

• Permanent, full-time position on 1st shift
• Competitive hourly rate of £17-£19 depending on experience
