Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to join our team in either Colchester or Chelmsford. This is a self-employed role, ideal for someone who is confident working independently and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

You will be supporting our teams with a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including work in social housing properties-some of which may be tenanted.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting & decorating)
Work in both void and tenanted social housing properties
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Communicate effectively with tenants, team members, and supervisors

Requirements
Proven experience across multiple trades
Must have your own van and tools
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Willingness to travel between Colchester, Chelmsford, and surrounding areas

Desirable
Experience working in social housing environments
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £160.00-£180.00 per day
