Mobile Plant Supervisor

Overview

The Mobile Plant Supervisor will be based in Bristol and will oversee multiple ready mix concrete plants across the South West. This permanent role offers a salary of £38,000 to £38,500 per annum for a 48 hour working week, with time and a half paid for any hours beyond that. A company van is provided for business travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerised batching systems to produce ready mix concrete to customer specifications.
• Support Production Managers with the day to day running of multiple concrete plants.
• Carry out daily inspections of safety critical equipment.
• Operate loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock.
• Monitor stock levels and order raw materials when required.
• Manage the safe movement of mixer, tipper and cement tanker vehicles on site.
• Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed safely.
• Complete environmental compliance checks and maintain accurate records.
• Drive high standards of housekeeping and carry out routine preventive maintenance.
• Coach and support operational teams, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across all sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.
• Proactive, hands on approach with strong problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the South West.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
