Mobile Caretaker - South East Region

Position: Mobile Caretaker / Maintenance Operative

Location: Dartford, Kent

Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Salary: up to c£16.00 per hour D.O.E + company vehicle + benefits

Job Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties across communal and external areas
• Perform litter picking, sweeping, and waste management
• Complete minor repairs such as fixing door handles, painting touch-ups, and replacing light bulbs
• Undertake basic trade-related tasks (e.g. plumbing, decorating, joinery)
• Conduct compliance checks including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting, and water temperature checks
• Maintain accurate records through app-based reporting systems
• Identify and report potential hazards or larger maintenance issues
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and property managers

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or general maintenance roles
• Basic trade skills (plumbing, decorating, electrical, joinery etc.)
• Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
• Understanding of health & safety and compliance checks
• Confident using smartphones or app-based systems for reporting
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
• Professional and approachable with a customer-focused attitude
