Job Description
Position: Mobile Caretaker / Maintenance Operative
Location: Dartford, Kent
Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Salary: up to c£16.00 per hour D.O.E + company vehicle + benefits
Job Type: Permanent
Responsibilities- Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties across communal and external areas
- Perform litter picking, sweeping, and waste management
- Complete minor repairs such as fixing door handles, painting touch-ups, and replacing light bulbs
- Undertake basic trade-related tasks (e.g. plumbing, decorating, joinery)
- Conduct compliance checks including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting, and water temperature checks
- Maintain accurate records through app-based reporting systems
- Identify and report potential hazards or larger maintenance issues
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents and property managers
- Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or general maintenance roles
- Basic trade skills (plumbing, decorating, electrical, joinery etc.)
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
- Understanding of health & safety and compliance checks
- Confident using smartphones or app-based systems for reporting
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Professional and approachable with a customer-focused attitude
