Support Worker - Supported Accommodation
Temporary - Full Time
37.5 hours per week
£12.80 per hour

P4 Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected charity in hiring Support Workers for a vibrant, 24-hour supported living service. This specialist accommodation-based setting supports adults aged 18-65 who are living with mental health needs, providing tailored, person-centred assistance that promotes wellbeing, recovery, and independence.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you'll play an essential part in helping individuals maintain good mental health, develop independent living skills, and thrive within their community. You'll work collaboratively with mental health professionals and partner agencies to ensure each person receives consistent, holistic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals to maintain wellbeing and achieve recovery-focused goals through culturally appropriate, person-led support
- Assist service users in sustaining their tenancies and preventing accommodation breakdown
- Work in partnership with mental health professionals and external agencies
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment aligned with the Equality Act 2010
- Promote independence, encouraging individuals to live as independently as possible
- Support with domestic tasks where needed
- Maintain accurate digital records and reports
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (paid, voluntary, or personal/life experience)
- GCSE / Level 2 English (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills, including email and word processing
- Non-judgemental, empathetic, and able to build trust with service users
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and create a safe environment
- Problem-solving skills related to areas such as benefits, education, and relationships
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and external organisations
- Ability to travel using personal or public transport
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 rota pattern (including earlies, lates and weekends, with notice)
Desirable:
- Lived experience of mental distress
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
