ID Recruitment are working with a growing Mechanicaland Electrical Engineering company to recruit an experienced MechanicalEstimator. The successful candidate will join the estimation department andwill work on various projects throughout the West of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experiencedindividual who is motivated, organised and possesses strong technical knowledgein M&E Tendering. The successful candidate will join an established teamworking on projects within the Commercial, Industrial and Pharmaceutical fieldsdelivering design solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Produceestimates and costs plans for multiple complex projects
• Assesstender documentation requirements and present tender launch proposals
• Identifyresources to complete the bid
• Identifypotential risks and opportunities
• Compilecomprehensive analytical net cost estimates for works including preliminaryitems in line with the Company's standards to win work
• Liaiseregularly with construction planners, design managers, bid managers,consultants and our supply chain to deliver innovative solutions and tenderproposals
• Presentnet cost tenders for internal adjudication
• Conversionof estimates to tender submission
• Handoverof successful tender information such that operational teams are suitablybriefed
• Participatein post tender negotiations with Clients to secure individual projects
• Bi-monthlyreview of tendering rates to ensure they are in line with current market value

Skills and Experience

• Relevant Third LevelQualifications
• 2+ years' min. industryexperience preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent IT Skills andadaptability
• Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills
• Strong communication andinterpersonal skills with good commercial acumen
• Excellent time managementskills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• A team player who is a good multi-tasker andflexible in adapting to the demands of challenging project environments
