Job Title: Maths Coordinator
Location: Benton House School, Benton, NE7 7XE
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Maths Coordinator to lead and develop our Mathematics curriculum, ensuring it is inclusive, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of our pupils.
As Maths Coordinator, you will:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of an engaging and effective Maths curriculum tailored for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Support and guide teaching staff in delivering high-quality Maths education.
- Use assessment data to track pupil progress and implement targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide a holistic learning environment.
- Inspire a love of Maths and problem-solving through innovative teaching approaches.
- Promote a positive and supportive learning atmosphere in line with Benton House School's values.
About You
You will have:
- Experience leading Maths or Numeracy curriculum in a SEN or specialist setting.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with complex SEMH and other SEN needs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A creative and adaptable teaching style.
- A commitment to supporting every pupil to reach their potential.
- Qualified Teacher Status

Benton House School is a brand-new Special Educational Needs (SEN) school located in Newcastle (NE7 7XE), dedicated to supporting pupils with complex needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You'll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
