About the role: We're looking for a skilled and motivated Manual/Automation Tester to join our growing Tech team in Leeds. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience testing Blazor front-end applications, RESTful APIs, and integrations with platforms like HubSpot. If you enjoy balancing manual exploratory testing with building and maintaining robust automation suites, this is the opportunity for you.
You'll work closely with developers and product owners to ensure that features meet expectations, bugs are identified early, and our testing processes continue to evolve with the business.

Getting Started
  • Familiarise yourself with our QA tooling, architecture, and Blazor applications
  • Pair with developers to understand current testing gaps and feature pipelines
  • Run manual tests and begin writing automated scripts within our frameworks
Establishing Your Impact
  • Take ownership of test suites for key components (UI and APIs)
  • Expand automation test coverage using Playwright or Selenium
  • Contribute to QA process improvements and CI/CD test integration
Driving Excellence
  • Lead QA initiatives for new features and integrations
  • Help define and implement our long-term QA strategy
  • Mentor colleagues on testing best practices and test automation
Key Goals & Objectives:
  • Improve test coverage and test reliability across front-end and API layers
  • Maintain and extend automated testing pipelines to reduce release risk
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality releases in line with sprint cycles
  • Raise the bar for defect identification, prevention, and resolution

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute manual test cases for Blazor front-end applications and REST APIs
  • Build and maintain automated UI and API test suites (C#, Playwright, Insomnia, etc.)
  • Collaborate in Agile sprints with engineers, PMs, and designers
  • Perform smoke, regression, and exploratory testing across staging and production
  • Log and track defects using Jira and support debugging efforts
  • Contribute to our CI/CD pipelines with automated test integration
  • Support and improve test frameworks and QA processes

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 3-5 years in a QA role combining manual and automated testing
  • Strong testing experience with Blazor applications (UI behaviour, component rendering)
  • Proficient in writing and debugging API tests and understanding API architecture
  • Working knowledge of C# for writing automated tests
  • Experience with tools like Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Insomnia, Swagger
  • Familiarity with test frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Detail-oriented mindset and a methodical approach to quality assurance
  • Desirable (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with Playwright or Selenium in a Blazor context
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to mocking frameworks like NSubstitute
  • Passion for refining QA strategy and improving DevOps integration
