Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of a growing food manufacturing business based in Enniscorthy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical fitting experience to join a highly automated manufacturing environment, supporting the reliability and performance of production equipment.

The Role

Working closely with Engineering and Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated production and packaging equipment, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly and adjustment of production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical/automation issues
• Diagnose faults involving sensors, actuators, drives and safety systems
• Support line changeovers and format adjustments
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and achieve targets
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders and technical documentation
• Support engineering and continuous improvement projects
• Ensure all work meets food safety, quality and H&S requirements

About You

• Qualified or time-served Mechanical Fitter, Electrician, Maintenance Technician or similar
• Strong maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with automated or high-speed production equipment
• Good mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with pneumatics, sensors, actuators and variable speed drives
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics

Shift Pattern

• 2 shift rotation: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
• Alternating weekly
• 5-day roster across 7 days, Monday-Sunday
• 20% shift premium
