Are you ready to take the lead in maintenance and engineering within a high performing organisation? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to join a busy and progressive team, helping drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in a well established setting.

Your New Job:

You'll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering management of a modern facility, reporting to the Site Operations Manager. Managing both in house maintenance teams and third party contractors, you'll play an active part in day to day site operations and be key to driving process improvement initiatives and ensuring equipment uptime during core weekday operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out to required health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, managing budgets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Drive the implementation of TPM, lean systems, and best practices across processes and equipment.
  • Support skills development, training, and performance reviews within the maintenance group.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors for maintenance and project delivery.
  • Analyse data, identify process improvements, and troubleshoot issues to enhance plant performance.
What Are We Looking For?
  • Trade qualification (electrician or fitter) or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing preventative maintenance systems.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated background in lean or process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
