Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) - L/Derry - Permanent

Riada Resourcing is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation as they recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their high performing team in the North West. This full time, permanent position offers the chance to work in a world class technical environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement shape every process.

About the role:

  • Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 5.00 pm, Friday 8.00 am - 2.00 pm
  • £Competitive salary (Depending on experience)

The Maintenance Engineer will ensure that production equipment is serviced, maintained and operating to the highest standards. Working closely with the manufacturing team, the successful candidate will help resolve complex process issues, support machine upgrades and implement robust corrective actions to prevent repeat problems.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Ensure safe working practices are followed.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
  • Equipment maintenance.
  • Preventative maintenance.

  • Skills development.

What you will need for this role:

  • Electrical apprenticeship/ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), plus at least three years' post apprenticeship experience in a multi batch production environment.
  • COSHH knowledge and strong understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations.
  • Analytical problem solving - Ability to diagnose and resolve both simple and complex machine issues.
  • PLC and control systems knowledge - Good understanding of PLCs, pneumatics, transducers, signal conversion, temperature control and basic building maintenance.
