CREGG are recruiting for a Maintenance Co ordinator to join a multinational coatings & specialty materials manufacturer. The role is to support and plan maintenance operations within a fast-paced multinational coatings and specialty materials manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating planned and preventative maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, and supporting operational efficiency across the site.

This position requires strong planning, communication, and technical coordination skills, with a focus on ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities across production equipment and plant utilities.
  • Plan machine downtime for maintenance activities, inspections, upgrades, and installation of new parts or components.
  • Liaise with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintain and update maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment records within the CMMS system.
  • Coordinate external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance activities where required.
  • Ensure spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials are available prior to scheduled work.
  • Track maintenance KPIs including downtime, response times, and equipment reliability metrics.
  • Support root cause analysis investigations for recurring equipment issues and downtime events.
  • Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health & safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor compliance with site permits, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety standards during maintenance activities.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and communicate schedules, updates, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Co ordinator, Maintenance Planner, or similar role within manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Experience working in multinational manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and scheduling processes.
