Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: Kestrel House School, Crouch End, London N8 9EA
Salary: £7,386.87 per annum / £13.25 p/h
Hours: 12.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 11:15am - 1:45pm
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: January 2026

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our close-knit team at Kestrel House School, part of Options Autism.
About the Role
We're looking for a friendly, caring and proactive Lunchtime Supervisor to join our school community! Lunchtime is such an important part of the day - a time for our pupils to recharge, chat with friends, and enjoy a healthy meal. You'll help make sure it's a happy, safe and welcoming experience for everyone.
You'll be part of a supportive team that looks after pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging good manners, positive behaviour and kindness. From helping younger children with their lunch to leading playtime activities, you'll bring warmth, patience and energy to every day.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising pupils during lunch and play, making sure everyone feels safe, included and respected.
- Encouraging healthy eating, good table manners and friendly conversations.
- Helping to keep the dining hall and surrounding areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
- Supporting children who may need a bit of extra help or encouragement.
- Administering minor first aid and reporting any incidents to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to create a caring lunchtime environment.
- Being a role model for positive behaviour and teamwork.

About Us
Kestrel House School is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. We help educate and support pupils who have complex needs and specialise in the communication and learning challenges associated with Autism.
We want each pupil at Kestrel House School to achieve their own ambitions and to live fulfilling and productive lives. We want you to encourage everyone to achieve their potential and dream big, despite of any challenges you or they may face. This can be achieved by assisting and supporting the class teachers with the agreed learning plans, whilst also being responsible for safeguarding the pupils. This will include making sure they are healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible and assisting with the physical, emotional, educational and personal care needs for each individual.
The site is in London, Haringey Borough within Crouch End area, quite close to central London. The location has the advantage of easy access to public transport, having the over ground station located 5 to 10 min walk away from the school and a 2 bus stops right outside of the school front gates.
For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
