Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. Applications are invited for a Consultant Haematologist position at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GG&C), based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) / New Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital (NVACH).

This is a maternity leave cover post for 12 months.

We seek a motivated individual to join our team of 33 Haematology consultants in Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The successful candidate will be based at QEUH/NVACH in South Glasgow and will contribute to the Clinical and Laboratory Haematology Services.

On-call responsibilities will be at QEUH.

You should be appropriately experienced and qualified in the specialty, fully registered with the GMC, and hold a license to practice. UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR), or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
