As a LIMS Implementation Specialist at Dedalus in the UK, you will work as part of a deployment team responsible for helping clients implement and support new Dedalus Laboratory Information Management systems efficiently within tight timescales. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to follow a standard deployment methodology, set up and configure all systems, transfer knowledge, manage issues, assist with validation testing, and support business change activities.
You will:
- Engage in all stages of the deployment project, ensuring clients and teams are informed, trained, and equipped to implement our solution offerings.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to clients and teams for product questions, issues, or changes.
- Review high level, functional, or detailed designs for upcoming product changes.
- Write and update knowledge materials to keep peers informed on the solution.
- Configure, validate, and support all environments used for demonstrations, training, and workshops.
- Conduct and support configuration and validation of customer deployment/training environments for training, testing, and go live activities.
- Assist clients and teams in setting up and configuring local deployment environments, imparting knowledge and empowering them to lead by example.
- Participate in multiple, complex deployments covering a typical project lifecycle from early engagement through to go live and post go live activities.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive background in at least one Pathology discipline (Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Blood Sciences).
- Experience in LIMS systems implementation/deployment.
- Familiarity with the setup and configuration of healthcare systems and the ability to provide effective knowledge transfer and training.
- Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and projects to completion, applying a broad knowledge of common principles and good practices.
- Skill in adapting information to an audience, explaining complex issues clearly, establishing consensus, and attaining agreement.
- Act as a liaison between clients and Dedalus, providing insights and advice on scope and high level benefits.
- Interpret client needs, assess full requirements, identify good practices and opportunities for real benefits.
- Effective communication skills, collaborating with people at all levels and managing expectations effectively.
