Job DescriptionThe posts will be located in the University's Suttie Centre, on the Foresterhill Healthcare Campus, and are available from August and September 2026. They are designed to sustain and increase our teaching capacity within Anatomy. You will join an enthusiastic, hard working team led by our Regius Professor of Anatomy, Simon Parson. Anatomy teaching at Aberdeen is well regarded locally and nationally.
You will contribute to a range of modern teaching opportunities, encouraging problem solving and understanding ahead of memorisation. We have excellent, modern facilities and are investing in upgraded digital resources and learning spaces.
We have two positions available; one on a substantive basis and one on a fixed term basis from 1 September 2026 to 30 May 2027.
QualificationsCandidates should ideally be educated to Masters level (or equivalent qualification) in Anatomy or a related subject such as physiology or medicine, or to BSc (Hons) level with relevant experience and familiarity with cadaveric material.
UG teaching experience (including dissection and laboratory practicals), enthusiasm for teaching innovation and development is desirable.
SalarySalary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 scale, £33,002 - £36,636 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
