Legal Cashier - Walsall - Legal 500 Firm

Legal Cashier Full Time Office Based Walsall A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its Finance Team at its Head Office in Walsall. This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. The Role You will play a key role in supporting the firm's financial operations and ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. This position requires at least 2-3 years' experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm. Key Responsibilities

• Receiving client payments (in person and by telephone) and issuing receipts
• Monitoring HSBCnet for incoming funds and allocating to client ledgers
• Preparing and banking daily receipts
• Posting receipts and payments to client and office ledgers
• Preparing Priority and BACS payments
• Processing cheque requests via the Case Management System
• Preparing client ledger breakdowns and time reports
• Checking completion statements
• Processing client and purchase ledger invoices
• Preparing payment runs
• Producing weekly new matter reports for Heads of Department
• Providing support and cover within the Finance Team when required

About You

• 2-3 years' experience as a Legal Cashier in a law firm
• Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong Excel and general IT skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Team player with a proactive approach
