Lecturer in Business Information Systems (Up to 0.45 FTE)

Term: Up to 0.45 FTE; Fixed term
Start date: 1st August 2026 or by arrangement (dependent on successful completion of checks)
Salary Range: Lecturer (G7) £42,701 - £48,035 pro rata, per annum
Line Management: Reports to Assigned faculty line manager in the Faculty of Social Sciences
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Business Information Systems at Levels 4-7.
- Develop and deliver innovative, inclusive teaching and assessment programmes.
- Provide professional service to the discipline, supporting the evolving needs of the Faculty and University.
- Engage with students across a wide variety of backgrounds, supporting their learning and development.
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary Faculty of Social Sciences and across Faculty and professional services colleagues, particularly in entrepreneurship and educational innovation.
- Maintain a teaching schedule that accommodates availability on Mondays and Thursdays (please indicate availability in your application).
- Postgraduate degree in Business Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
- FHEA status, or expected achievements (desirable).
- Demonstrable excellence in teaching and inclusive learning practices.
- Willingness to undertake continuous professional development, especially in AI, technology, data, sustainability and ethics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficient in IT and evidence of integrating technology into learning.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Active interest in the relationship between Business Information Systems and digital transformation or AI implementation.
