LATAM Controller

Meta is seeking an experienced qualified accountant to join the International Statutory Controllership Team. In this role, you will own a statutory global controllership process area while acting as the entity controller for a portfolio of Meta's Latin American entities. You will combine deep statutory accounting expertise with genuine leadership of automation and AI initiatives, helping define how controllership operates in a technology-first organization. This is a senior role that requires both technical depth and the ability to influence across functions.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) with 7+ years post-qualification experience in statutory accounting or financial reporting
• Deep expertise in local compliance and statutory accounting for international entities across multiple jurisdictions
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, (valued but not required)
• Proven experience leading process automation or transformation initiatives in an accounting or finance environment
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively at a senior individual contributor level
• Working knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, with experience applying these standards in a multinational, multi-entity environment
• Demonstrated comfort using AI and automation tools to improve productivity and output quality
• Understanding of AI governance principles as applied to financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• A track record of continuous learning and adapting quickly to new tools and ways of working
• Experience supporting business expansion or regulatory change programs in complex jurisdictions
• Experience building or deploying AI/automation solutions in a finance context
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Direct experience with statutory accounting and compliance
