About the Role

We're seeking a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of secure, mission-critical solutions within the Defence sector. Working in an Agile environment, you'll drive quality throughout the software life cycle, champion automation, and help engineering teams deliver reliable, resilient, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing solutions and frameworks.
• Champion Quality Engineering and shift-left testing practices.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply risk-based testing approaches across the delivery life cycle.
• Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers and Architects to ensure quality is Embedded from the outset.
• Contribute to functional, integration, performance, security and accessibility testing.
• Coach teams on testing best practices and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

• Software Testing/Quality Engineering experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• GitLab (or strong Git knowledge)
• Java & Spring
• Test automation framework experience
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Agile Scrum experience
• Quality-driven mindset

Desirable Skills

Playwright, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Microservices, OpenAPI, WCAG and DevSecOps practices.
