About the role

We're looking for a reliable, passionate and organized individual to join our team as a kitchen assistant.

Position: Kitchen Assistant

What is required

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting
• Full time, 37.5 hours per week, including alternate weekends
• Shift patterns: 7am 3pm, 9am 5pm, 10:30am 6pm

Responsibilities

• Support the chef to create healthy and balanced meals and snacks, and ensure a good understanding of dietary requirements and allergens
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area, with good hygiene and in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols
• Work effectively as a team player, and when needed, lone work, effectively managing your time
• Offer support, communication, and engagement to the residents

Desired qualities

• Prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH
• Caring, self motivated, enthusiastic, able to show empathy to the needs of others
