Key Stage 1 Teacher

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Gateshead is seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team and support pupils during the important early stages of their learning journey.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a school where staff work closely together to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young pupils.

Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will help pupils develop the essential foundations they need for future learning.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging KS1 lessons across the primary curriculum
• Supporting early phonics, literacy, and numeracy development
• Creating a structured and supportive classroom environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting lessons where needed
• Working closely with teaching assistants and leadership staff
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence
