KDB Developer

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• Several years of commercial experience in data engineering and analytics development in a similar high-performance environment
• Strong KDB/q development skills (core focus)
• Solid Linux engineering experience, including awareness of low-level networking and kernel-level understanding
• Knowledge of large-scale storage systems, data distribution, and resilience/failover strategies
• Familiarity configuring and operating AWS services and Kubernetes-based infrastructure
• Experience working with Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 market data feeds
• Background in big data performance tuning, analytical workflows, and data visualization

Responsibilities

• Build and improve analytics capabilities to provide clearer visibility across new and existing business areas
• Develop scalable data pipelines to capture, clean, and store high-volume datasets from internal trading platforms and external market data feeds
• Create and refine efficient data-access frameworks to support live dashboards, execution performance analysis, and market microstructure research
• Design and implement complex event processing (CEP) workflows to detect data issues in real-time and generate actionable signals
• Diagnose problems and continuously strengthen platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from initial research and prototyping through delivery, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
