Job Description

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

Several years of commercial experience in data engineering and analytics development in a similar high-performance environment
Strong KDB/q development skills (core focus)
Solid Linux engineering experience, including awareness of low-level networking and kernel-level understanding
Knowledge of large-scale storage systems, data distribution, and resilience/failover strategies
Familiarity configuring and operating AWS services and Kubernetes-based infrastructure
Experience working with Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 market data feeds
Background in big data performance tuning, analytical workflows, and data visualization

Responsibilities

Build and improve analytics capabilities to provide clearer visibility across new and existing business areas
Develop scalable data pipelines to capture, clean, and store high-volume datasets from internal trading platforms and external market data feeds
Create and refine efficient data-access frameworks to support live dashboards, execution performance analysis, and market microstructure research
Design and implement complex event processing (CEP) workflows to detect data issues in real-time and generate actionable signals
Diagnose problems and continuously strengthen platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from initial research and prototyping through delivery, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
