Job Available: Setting Out Engineer

Glebe Builders is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a new project in the Kildare region.

This is a fast-paced construction project, and the successful candidate must be capable of carrying out setting out independently and accurately. You'll work closely with the site management team to support the smooth progress of the works and ensure construction is completed in line with the drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out setting out for the works, including establishing lines, levels, gridlines and control points.
• Interpret construction drawings and coordinate information accurately on site.
• Check dimensions and levels, and raise any discrepancies before work proceeds.
• Maintain and verify site control points and survey records.
• Liaise with the site management and construction teams to coordinate upcoming setting out requirements.
• Ensure all survey and setting out work is completed safely and to the required standard.

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on construction projects.
• Proven ability to set out independently and manage day-to-day survey requirements on site.
• Confident reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, organised approach.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the site team.
• Experience using relevant surveying equipment and software.
