Inside Sales Supervisor

The Inside Sales Supervisor will play a critical role in driving the growth of our residential business by leading a team that engages with residential customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of the residential market, enhance your technical sales skills, and develop meaningful relationships with dealers of Lutron products. You will oversee a team responsible for product education, selling support, lead referrals, and order coordination. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Sales team to ensure a seamless and coordinated customer experience.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives to achieve their sales goals.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure team members are effectively managing customer relationships, resolving issues and closing sales.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Customer Interaction & Support:
- Serve as the main point of contact for selected residential dealers, guiding your team in providing outstanding sales support via phone, email, and chat.
- Oversee the onboarding of new accounts and the training of existing small accounts, ensuring they are equipped with proven selling approaches and tools.
- Assist your team in qualifying incoming project leads and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Developing new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls and lead follow-ups.
- Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities.
- Utilise our systems, such as SFDC and NICE inContact, to manage cases and customer inquiries. Maintaining and improving the data quality of prospects on SFDC.
Product & Market Expertise:
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of Lutron's innovative lighting control, lighting, and shading products and solutions.
- Stay informed about market dynamics within the residential custom electronics space to better support and guide your team.
- Researching for new leads and upselling products and services.
- Gain a strong understanding of market dynamics in the residential market space. Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers.
Process & System Management:
- Utilise and guide your team in using systems such as Salesforce for managing cases and customer inquiries efficiently.
- Continuously seek ways to streamline processes and improve the customer experience through creative and "outside of the box" thinking.
Sales Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the broader Sales team to ensure a coordinated approach to customer selling.
- Work with Sales leadership to identify opportunities for growth within small or underperforming accounts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inside sales, sales support, or customer service, preferably within the or residential market.
- Experience in a supervisory or team lead role is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Technical proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and customer interaction platforms (NICE inContact).
- Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
