Job Description

At Insud Pharma, a global healthcare company committed to improving access to quality medicines through innovation, sustainability, and strategic partnerships, the Innovation Manager, Business Development will play a critical role in advancing the company's innovation strategy.

In this position, you will help shape and strengthen the innovation pipeline by leading the technical evaluation of new opportunities across the Business Development group. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams-including R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Intellectual Property-you will assess the scientific and technical feasibility, strategic fit, and long-term value of potential projects.

You will also be responsible for proactively scouting emerging technologies, platforms, and scientific advancements, with a particular focus on those that can enhance Insud Pharma's diverse portfolio in generics, biosimilars, value-added medicines, and innovative therapies. Your insights and recommendations will directly support strategic decision-making and resource allocation, helping to maintain Insud Pharma's competitive edge and commitment to innovation across therapeutic areas.

By contributing to the identification and integration of external innovations, you will help ensure Insud Pharma continues to lead in the development of accessible and transformative healthcare solutions worldwide.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Technical Evaluation: Lead or support technical due diligence for new business development opportunities, assessing scientific soundness, development feasibility, and potential risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central point of coordination between R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and IP to inform project assessments and align on strategy.
  • Innovation Scouting: Identify, analyze, and present emerging technologies, platforms, or trends that may offer strategic benefit to the organization.
  • Strategic Input: Partner with Business Development leadership to define clear project strategies, go/no-go criteria, and development plans based on technical assessments.
  • Project Pipeline Support: Contribute to the evaluation and prioritization of projects within the innovation portfolio; assist in the development of business cases and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Scientific Congress Participation: Attend relevant scientific and industry congresses to monitor trends, engage with thought leaders, and identify new technologies or partnership opportunities.
  • External Engagement: Where appropriate, engage with external partners, start-ups, or academic institutions to explore collaborations and innovation opportunities.


Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MSc) in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in R&D or technology evaluation roles.
  • Strong understanding of the drug/technology development lifecycle and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical due diligence and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to assess and synthesize complex technical information for business decision-making.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to scientific meetings, congresses, and partner sites.


Preferred Attributes:


  • Experience with end-to-end pharmaceutical product development, experience in Biotechnology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property landscapes and patent evaluation.
  • Global perspective on healthcare innovation trends and technologies.
